I have been backpacking with my dog Woody since 1996. Since then we have hiked 4 times over large sections of the AT (1400 to 1600 miles on each hike). In 2005 I did my first Thru-hike which was also my last hike with my little buddy Woody. 2005 hands down was the best hike Woody and I ever had. Woody passed away on 3-6-09.<br /> <br /> Other trails I have been on include the PCT, The Lost Coast Trail and The Long Trail. I also did some day hikeing in the Mountains of Norway.<br /> <br /> I am in the prosses of planning another thru-hike with my 2 year old English Springer &quot;Willow&quot; for 2011
